FOR THE FINAL LOOK OF The Scarf Project series, I am sharing with you how to incorporate a scarf in your daily outfits without having to wear it around your neck. Sometimes I want to wear a scarf because its colors match so well with the colors of my outfit, but it can often make the outfit look cluttered. No matter how beautiful the scarf may be, if it doesn’t add any aesthetic value to the outfit, then why wear it? But if you really want to wear it, because duh it’s beautiful, then I would suggest using a bit of creativity and doing a lot of repurposing. >>
In this particular look, I just double knotted this beautiful scarf on my backpack handle, leaving it to fall down in front of it. My intent was to both bring attention to the backpack and add a little more movement to an otherwise very structured outfit.
Also, you can often spot a scarf in my outfit wrapped around a bag handle so it covers it entirely like I did few years back when I blogged about this suit I made. By doing so, you are not only adding a pop of color to your outfit, but you are also subtly redesigning your bag, giving it a new charm.
You can also wear scarves as belts. I like tying a neat knot or making a small bow on the front and positioning it so it’s a little bit to the side. This trick helps define the waist giving you a more hourglass shape, but it’s also a nice way to substitute wearing a belt.
I really hope you enjoyed all the posts from The Scarf Project series, and you can find the links to all the other looks if you scroll a little down in this post.
